Our *** Superior Hotel is family owned (4^th generation), it has a large reception area with direct access to the elevator. You can relax in our wellness area with a sauna, solarium and therapy offers or if you prefer sports you can use our fitness area or our bowling alley. In the outdoor area you can play chess on the worlds largest three-field chess terrace (confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records in 2000) or you can spend time in the outdoor cafe “Quellepark”.

Our large and variable function rooms offer perfect conditions for conferences, seminars and for company and family celebrations for up to 160 people. Hungry? You can eat at our restaurant which mainly offers Thuringian, homemade and national specialities.

Brotterode is a district of the town Brotterode-Trusetal and a state-approved (health) resort. The surrounding mountain landscape is ideal for hiking, e.g. on the “Höhenweg” which is part of the “Rennsteig”. Our central location offers the perfect starting point for trips, e.g. to the Inselberg (“Island Mountain”), Schmalkalden, Meiningen, Suhl, Oberhof, Eisenach, Gotha, Erfurt, Weimar.

Brotterode also offers family friendly activities like the Inselbergbad (Indoor pool), the Funpark (which offers a summer toboggan run, trampoline, mini karts and much more) and the Trusetal Waterfall. To find more suggestions for your vacation planning, please check out the heading "spare time”.
